Estate Planning - I handle a variety of estate planning matters, including planning for the distribution of an individual's property at his or her death and taking into account wills, taxes, insurance, property, and trusts so as to gain the maximum benefit of all laws, while, at the same time, carrying out the person's wishes.

Probate & Estate Administration - Probate is the legal process by which a person's debts are paid and assets are distributed upon her or his death. Estate Administration includes the probate process as well as non-probate transfers of the deceased's assets. Individual state laws direct the probate court how to distribute the deceased's estate. State laws and procedures vary greatly, so, it is important to consult a firm with expertise in this area of the law to ensure that the deceased's assets are distributed correctly.

Real Estate - I represent both commercial clients and individuals in all proceedings and transactions that deal with real property - land and the structures attached to it - including purchase and sale, construction, mortgages and foreclosures, leases, zoning, title examinations, quiet title actions, closings, and management.

Business and Commercial Law - I provide a wide variety of services to our business clients from assisting in selecting the type of organizational entity under which to operate, preparation of agreements, sale and purchase of businesses, obtaining financing and funding for business operations, and employee relations, to dissolution.

Business Organizations - The form of business chosen for a business entity potentially affects every aspect of its operations. I assist my clients in formation and business planning in deciding whether they want to operate as a closely held business, limited liability company, partnership, or corporation. I advise our clients about directors' and officers' liability, dissolution, reorganization, trade association membership and activity, joint ventures, divestitures, business successions, and shareholders' rights.

Contracts - I have experience drafting, negotiating, and reviewing all types of contracts, whether commercial or private. I have experience with contracts involving: sales, leases, real estate, and personal services. An experienced attorney can help you avoid future legal problems through proper drafting and help explain your contractual rights and duties.

Elder Law - As we get older, many of us are faced with difficult and important decisions regarding our healthcare and our financial well-being. I can help you plan for both the present and the future through the use of: wills, trusts, power of attorney forms, living wills, and health care directives.

Landlord/Tenant - Commercial and residential leases touch both contract and real estate law. Both landlords and tenants have legal duties and rights that are expressed in leases or implied through common law and statutes. If you have a question about your lease, property, tenant, or landlord, please contact me for assistance and advice.

Lemon Law - State law provides specific guidelines for car dealerships when they sell both new and used cars to consumers. State law also authorizes and defines specific causes of actions for consumers when a dealership violates the law. If you have experienced mechanical problems with your new or used car, please contact me for assistance and advice.
